OLD Fred had been a religious man and was in hospital, near death. His minister visited him and as he stood at the bedside the old man's condition started to deteriorate. Fred motioned frantically for something to write on.
The minister handed him a pen and a piece of paper and watched as Fred scribbled with his last gasp and passed away. Moved, the minister put the paper in his pocket.
At the funeral, as he finished the service, he felt the paper in his pocket. He told the mourners: "Old Fred handed me a note just before he died. I haven't read it, but knowing him I'm sure there will be inspiration for us all."
He opened the note and read out loud: "You're standing on my oxygen tube!"
